Opt Out

As part of Virginia's ENERGY CHOICE program Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative plans to open its Virginia system to CHOICE on January 1, 2004. One of the provisions of CHOICE required by the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the restructuring legislation passed by the General Assembly is that each electric utility must provide a list of all of its consumers to any licensed competitive service provider that requests it. This list is referred to as the "mass list" and must include among other items, each consumer's name, address (both billing and service), account number and 12-months of energy use history.
